relax@gaerfarm.co.uk

Gaer Farm is conveniently located in some of the most spectacular countryside in Mid Wales, with open natural moorland, rolling hills, oak and pine forests and beautiful lakeland scenery all nearby.
The Gaer is a working farm set in a stunning corner of a valley which is home to a wide variety of birds of prey including red kites, buzzards and peregrines and many other wildlife.

Adults and children alike will enjoy our farm, where they can meet and feed the residents that include hens, sheep and our pedigree Longhorn, Hereford and Dexter cattle.

On our working farm, we try to stick to traditional breeds to ensure the quality of our meat and our herds. We have Longhorn, Hereford and Dexter cattle that we breed for their size and their beautifully marbled meat. With our sheep we have a variety of different breeds, which includes Welsh sheep which are a very hardy breed, that love the hill location the farm occupies.

Accommodation

Our accommodation has en-suite facilities, welcome tray and colour TV in most rooms. Children of all ages are welcome, and a cot and highchair are available on request. There is a guest lounge with an open fire and TV and DVD player; with a selection of DVD's to watch.

We have a downstairs room with disabled access and a wet room.

We also have a detached holiday cottage which sleeps up to six. Click here for more info.

Evening meals

Three course traditional evening meals and packed lunches are available by prior arrangement. With all of the ingredients we try to ensure that they are sourced as locally as possible, with the majority of them coming directly from the farm, so that we are able to ensure the highest quantity ingredients are used. Special diets can be catered for, when prior notice is given.
